Say Cheesecake: Four Flavours of Autumn and One Very Good Decision

Autumn in Niagara arrives all at once — the vines turn, the light goes gold, and suddenly everyone wants something warm, spiced and slightly indulgent. Our Autumn Harvest Cheesecake Collection is our answer: four seasonal cheesecakes, baked in-house, boxed together so you never have to pick just one. Because picking just one is, frankly, a cruel thing to ask of anybody.

The Case for Ordering All Four

Here is the thing about cheesecake season. Someone always says “oh, I’ll just have a small slice,” and then stands at the counter for eleven minutes weighing pumpkin against pecan like it’s a mortgage decision. We have watched this happen. We have been this person. So we did the sensible thing and stopped making anyone choose.

The collection brings four distinct autumn flavours into one lineup — each one built around a different corner of the season. There’s the spiced one, the fruity one, the deeply nutty one, and the one that tastes like a cookie went to finishing school. Together they cover just about every dessert mood a Niagara autumn can produce, and they’re the easiest thing in the world to bring to a dinner you’ve been invited to but haven’t cooked for.

Meet the Four

01

Pumpkin White Chocolate Swirl

The one everyone reaches for first. Warm pumpkin spice does the heavy lifting while ribbons of white chocolate swirl through, softening the spice into something mellow and creamy. It’s autumn’s greatest hits played on a slightly gentler instrument — and it disappears from the box faster than any of us would like to admit.

02

Apple Crumble

Niagara is orchard country, and this is the slice that knows it. Tender spiced apple over a smooth cheesecake base, finished with a buttery crumble topping that gives you that essential crunch-then-give texture. If you’ve ever wished apple pie and cheesecake would stop competing and simply get along, here is the peace treaty.

03

Pecan Pie

Rich, toasty, unapologetically decadent. Pecan pie flavour folded into cheesecake is a genuinely excellent idea that somebody should have had sooner, and the caramel-deep nuttiness makes this the slice that quietly wins over the person who claims they “don’t really do dessert.” Cut it thin. They’ll come back for more anyway.

A cheesecake collection is not a dessert. It is a conversation starter with a fork in it.

04

Biscoff

The wild card, and our current office favourite. That unmistakable spiced caramel biscuit flavour — the one you know from the little cookie that comes with your coffee — turned into something creamy, grown-up and dangerously moreish. It’s the least traditional flavour in the box and, reliably, the first one people ask about by name.

Baked Here. Every Single Day.

Everything in our Pastry Market is made in-house, daily, by people who are in the building before the greenhouse doors open. That’s not a marketing line — it’s just how we’ve always done it. The ovens go on early, the kitchen smells like spice and browned butter by mid-morning, and what’s on the counter at nine is not what’s on the counter at three, because it keeps selling and we keep baking.

It also means seasonality actually means something here. These four flavours exist because it’s autumn — because the orchards down the road are producing, because pumpkin and pecan and warm spice are what October wants. Come January, the Pastry Market will be telling a completely different story. That’s the fun of it.

How to Serve a Cheesecake Like You Meant It

  • Let it sit out for 20 minutes — cheesecake straight from the fridge is firm and muted. Twenty minutes at room temperature and the texture loosens, the fats soften, and every flavour gets noticeably louder.
  • Hot knife, clean slice — dip your blade in hot water and wipe it between every cut. It’s a two-second habit that turns a rustic wedge into something that looks like you know what you’re doing.
  • Serve the four as a flight — thin slices of all four on one board, smallest-spice to biggest, so everybody gets the full tour. This is how you win a dinner party without cooking anything.
  • Resist the whipped cream — at least on the first slice. These flavours are built to stand alone, and a mountain of cream flattens the very thing you came for.
  • Coffee, not tea, for the Biscoff — the spiced caramel wants something dark and slightly bitter beside it. A strong black coffee is the perfect foil.

Make It a Whole Afternoon

You can absolutely order online and have dessert sorted from your couch — the link lives in our Instagram bio, and it’s the fastest route to a full box. But if you have an afternoon to spare, the better version of this involves actually coming out to Vineland.

Our 3725 King Street location is the full destination: the café, the greenhouse, the Workshop Village, and a Pastry Market counter that is very hard to walk past with an empty hand. Autumn is genuinely our favourite season to have visitors — the greenhouse is warm when the air outside has turned sharp, and that contrast never gets old. If you want to make a proper occasion of it, our Tropical Garden Tea runs Tuesday through Saturday at $47 per person, served right inside the greenhouse among the palms.

And if you’re in St. Catharines, our 18 James Street boutique is there for flowers — though we’d gently point out that flowers and cheesecake have never once been a bad combination.

Twenty-Five Years of Feeding People

We’ve been a family-run business in Niagara for over twenty-five years, and in that time we’ve learned that the things people remember aren’t usually the grand gestures. They’re the small ones. A box of four cheesecakes carried into somebody’s kitchen. The moment everyone leans over the board deciding which to try first. The mild argument about whether pecan beats pumpkin, which nobody ever really settles.

We call ourselves Merchants of Happiness, and most days that looks a lot less like a slogan and a lot more like this — four flavours, one box, and a very good decision waiting to be made.
