Love, Framed in Flowers: Inside Olivia & Chris’s Vieni Estates Wedding

Some flowers are meant to be admired. Wedding flowers are meant to be remembered.

A Day Built on Warm, Romantic Colour

When Olivia and Chris were married at Vieni Estates, their florals were the kind that make you sigh a little. Soft blush roses, peachy dahlias, delicate white blooms and fresh, flowing greenery all came together in one gentle, glowing palette.

That’s the joy of this work. A wedding is a story, and the flowers get to help tell it. Our floral team loved bringing these warm, romantic colours to life, from the first sketch of an idea to the last stem tucked into place.

From the Bridal Bouquet to the Bridesmaids

The bridal bouquet is the star of the show, but it never works alone. We design the bridesmaid bouquets to speak the same language, so everything feels coordinated without feeling copied. Same colours, same softness, a little variation in shape and texture.

Think of it like a well-dressed family. Everyone belongs together, and everyone still gets to be themselves.

The best wedding palettes feel like a warm hug in flower form, familiar, kind and a little bit magical.

Meet the Flowers: A Zone 6b Field Guide

Many of the blooms in a palette like this have deep roots in Niagara gardens. Here in zone 6b, with our average last spring frost around May 15th and first fall frost around October 15th, we have a lovely long season to grow them.

  • Roses — Blush and cream roses are zone 6b favourites. Plant them in full sun with good airflow, and give hardy varieties a mound of soil or mulch around the base before winter.
  • Dahlias — Peachy dahlias are tender, so wait until after the May 15th frost date to plant tubers. They bloom from midsummer until the first fall frost, then the tubers need to be lifted and stored indoors for winter in our zone.
  • White blooms — Think delicate textures that calm a bouquet down. Many whites, like cosmos and Shasta daisies, grow happily in Niagara beds and cutting gardens.
  • Greenery — Flowing foliage is the secret to that just-gathered look. It gives every bouquet movement and a softer finish.

Here’s what we say around the shop all the time: the details people remember most are the ones that felt personal. A bouquet that matches the day. A little floral heart that makes everyone smile.

The Little Floral Heart

We have to talk about that floral heart. Details like this are our favourite part of wedding work, because they turn a pretty arrangement into a moment. A heart made of flowers is a small, joyful surprise, and it’s the sort of thing that ends up in photos for decades.

If you’re planning your own day, we love a little custom touch. Tell us what matters to you, and we’ll find a way to say it in blooms.

Planning Your Own Wedding Florals

A few friendly tips from our team, no matter your season or venue:

  • Start with colour and feeling — Bring us a mood, a swatch or a photo. Words like "warm" and "romantic" help just as much as a Pinterest board.
  • Consider the season — Flowers that are in season locally tend to look their freshest and feel most at home. Ask us what’s looking beautiful for your date.
  • Think beyond the bouquet — Bridesmaid bouquets, ceremony pieces, table florals and small surprises all add to the story.
  • Give us time — The earlier we start talking, the more room there is to dream together.

Congratulations, Olivia & Chris
