Prayer Plant, also known as Maranta are easy to grow and has super fun foliage. They are a low spreading plant that often grows in hanging baskets, however they can also grow horizontally along a tabletop. These guys are a slower growing plant, so you don’t need to worry about it getting out of hand. They get their name because the leaves fold up at night, like a pair of praying hands.

Growing Tips

Watering:

Prayer plants like to be constantly moist, so do not let them dry out completely. Water them as the top layer of soil begins to dry out. Never let the plant sit in water either. Its leaves can start to turn brown if it is constantly drying out or being watered too much.

Sunlight:

Prayer Plants can grow in almost any condition if there is natural light. Low light, medium light, bright light, they can do it all! If in a bright area it is best to keep it away from direct sunlight as the foliage can burn easily.

Temperature:

Prayer Plant’s ideal temperature for prayer plants is between 16 and 27 degrees Celsius. They also prefer to be in a humid environment.
